Grandmother's birthday was several weeks ago, and we had a family reunion. I don't have time to upload all the pictures here, because there's dratted Public Law on Tuesday to study for and there's just sooo much to read, but here's a gem for your eyes only:
My daddy. Can you spot the family resemblance?
Ok, this is completely unrelated, but while I'm on the subject of family, I just wanted to put up this picture:

The Curious Case of Natasha and the UFPP (you win a prize if you can guess what UFPP stands for). |

I have a new userpic! Yay
It shows off my xiaolongbao cheeks to their fullest advantage.

Haha isn't my yaya so cute?
So is my dog.

Glam to the MAX! Yaya was dancing in the background, that's why she looks like a blur. Ha ha
Ok Put, sorry sorry, I'll go upload our pictures NOW so you can grab them. |

I think this is going to be my first public entry of any substance in a very long time.
Isabelle's back! :D
....
Ahh, she's playing dui mian de nu hai by Ah Niu. She keeps playing it. Does anyone remember that song?
KAN GUO LAI, KAN GUO LAI
And she introduced this song to me, The Ah Lian Song by Patricia Mok. It's awful, honestly it really is. I mean, you can probably tell that from the song title/artist alone. I think I'll memorise it.
SIKHI I wish we were going to be classmates ): sighh I miss NY days too, when everything was so simple and happy. And we used to sing Potter's Hand together remember! (Along with a lot of other songs haha.) It's like you belong to a long-closed chapter of my life that I only blow the dust off every now and then. Can you resurface a bit more, plskthx.
Anyway, I got a package from NUS in the mail, and included is this letter from the chairman of the Freshman Orientation Central Committee 2007. At the end of the letter, it says this:
'To register, email us at blahblahblah@gmail.com Please provide us with your full name, NRIC number, contact number, address and sex.'
haha I thought it was pretty funny.
...
Ok, maybe I was wrong about the entry having substance part. |

A few weeks ago, I went to get my hair cut in Orchard Road and managed to run out for about five minutes to get a few shots of Dali's work!! I only got Space Woman and the melting clock though ):

No prizes for guessing which this is! It doesn't look much like a melting clock, does it?

I just thought of something. Don't Vernetta Lopez, Mark Richmond and Beatrice Chia remind you of Brangelina and Jennifer Aniston? Jennifer=Lopez (haha geddit geddit)= kooky lovable girl-next-door, Beatrice Chia=Angelina Jolie=tall sexed-up large-boned third party and Mark Richmond=Brad Pitt=male. My oh my.
Last night was my grandfather's birthday party, and we took lots of pictures!
 Tasha and Grandpa
 Daddy and I
My mother and I... is it just me, or do I look like Isabelle here?
 Everybardeee now
 sing song sing song
My grandfather looks a bit uncharastically happy. I think he was drunk.
 Yup he was.
My grandmother... I Told her I was taking a picture of us, but well.
This is Hannah. Guess how old this girl is. Just make a guess. Answer at the bottom of the page.
My daddy and his siblings decided to be exclusive and kick their [in this case only] wives and kids out of the picture. Wives as in, my dad's wife and my uncle's wife.. yeah you get it.
Sharon was pretending to be Angelina Jolie, hence the screwy lips, Glenn was pretending to be Brad Pitt hence the cheekopek stare, and I was poor spurned Aniston, hence the... yeah.
Disclaimer: no, I was not drunk.
[Nearly] all the cousins. Sorry guys, but the hot chick in white is taken. And this is your last chance to guess how old Hannah is!
The cousins always have so much fun during reunions :D
Oh, and she's twenty-two. Hahaha. |

I love it when it rains so crazy hard you can't hear anything besides the sound of the downpour outside (assuming you're indoors, ideally in bed or lying on the couch with a good book and a cup of hot Milo), and the cold winds rush madly -it was 24 degC this afternoong, just for your information, which as we all know is practically subzero by Singapore standards- and the sweet strange smell of wet soil permeates the air and the rain, the rain is coming down in sheets and every time a fresh gust comes along a tidal wave sweeps through the pelting silver torrent.
It is, however, Not So Cool when it rains so hard that the sound drowns out the sound of your alarm clock completely. Or when your socks turn soggy, or your head feels like it's been dunked into Village Well despite valiant attempts at protecting it with an umbrella.
Oh well.

My sisters and I just spent about five insane minutes dancing madly to Diana Ross and the Supremes' You Can't Hurry Love in Isabelle's bedroom, with the door locked. Our private Mambo Night.
Isabelle just farted Very Loudly. -_- Disclaimer: it's smell-less. Hee Hee, she says.
Gawd my sisters are craaaaaaazy.
Did you know that my sister's boyfriend's English name is Sebastian Marcelino? Gawd. |

Yes! The worst is over! Two papers left (:
I'm waiting for Isabelle to finish teaching Tasha English so Belle Terence and I can go to 6th Ave, and I have this inkling that it's going to take Quite a while, so here I am.
-___-
Anyway, about a week ago, I was talking to my mom about marriage. Apparently some people believe that, once a couple is married, the love just fizzles out after a bit and the relationship becomes one of companionship more than anything else.
Call me idealistic, but I don't believe that always has to be the case (and of course I am undoubtedly the greatest authority on this subject, having had great amounts of experience on the matter), so I asked my mom about it.
She thought about it for a while, and said, 'Well, my marriage could've been happier, but I wouldn't say the love's lost.'
What, no fiery passion? No flying sparks? No heart-pumping love? Oh, the death of romance. I went to bed slightly disillusioned.
But then the next day, my mom brought up the subject again. (I think she'd thought it over. My mom was never much of a hasty thinker, heh heh.) And she told me of how she enjoys her weekly breakfasts with my dad, and how he makes her laugh with his quirky sense of humour, and how much she appreciates taking random strolls with him in pretty spots around Singapore every now and then. And she ended off by telling me, 'No, the love definitely's not gone.'
